What is a monitored home alarm?

A monitored home alarm is connected up so that, as well as sounding the bells, it “phones home” when it’s activated.

Who monitors it?

The “phone home” signal is sent to an Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC). The professionals there will immediately contact your keyholders and the Police if necessary. Any day, any time, the ARC covers you.

I already have a home alarm, why do I need monitoring?

Because, sadly, alarm bells are just background noise these days. People hearing them will roll their eyes and huff but rarely will they call for help. Burglars know this, and take advantage of it!

Even if you have a friendly neighbour with a spare key, they probably won’t want to risk disturbing a potential burglar – and who can blame them!

Isn’t alarm monitoring just for businesses and shops?

Not any more! Advances in technology mean we can protect residential homes to the same standard.

Can I have my CCTV system monitored?

Absolutely! A video ARC has even more information to give the Police at the time of the event. And good quality CCTV footage can be a big help in prosecutions.

How do I get my monitored home alarm?

First, you have to know it’s suitable. You’ll need an alarm system that’s been supplied, installed and maintained by an accredited company, especially for automatic Police response. These are Grade 3 or 4 alarms from trusted suppliers using high standards of materials and workmanship.

But dont worry if you already have an alarm fitted, we can check it’s suitable and takeover the maintenance and monitoring.
