Key Holder Services, Southend

Eastern Security offer two options for their key holder service as follows:

Option One: Key Holder with Engineer Response, Normal Schedule of Rates

  • On activation of the alarm system an Eastern Security Engineer will attend site as a Key holder to investigate the cause of the activation.
  • If the activation has been caused by a fault on the system, the repair will be carried out at the time if possible. If the fault is not repairable, the zone affecting the system will be omitted until a more permanent repair can be carried out in normal working hours.
  • If there is no repair to be carried out, the Eastern Security Engineer will reset the alarm and secure the site.
  • If confirmed alarm activation occurs, the Eastern Security Engineer will wait for assistance to arrive in the form of the Police service.
  • If a break-in is found, the Eastern Security Engineer will contact a member of the Staff.

The cost of this service is as per our normal ‘Schedule of Rates’ which are:

£30.00 Call-out + £34.00 per hour + V.A.T. during normal working hours

£45.00 Call-out + £68.00 per hour + V.A.T. outside of normal working hours

Any materials used to carry out the repairs will be charged at our normal rates

Option Two: Key Holder with Engineer Response, One Off Charge

  • On activation of the alarm system an Eastern Security Engineer will attend site as a Key holder to investigate the cause of the activation.
  • If the activation has been cause by a fault on the system, the repair will be carried out at the time if possible. If the fault is not repairable, the zone affecting the system will be omitted until a more permanent repair can be carried out in normal working hours.
  • If there is no repair to be carried out, the Eastern Security Engineer will rest the alarm and secure the site.
  • If confirmed alarm activation occurs, the Eastern Security Engineer will wait for assistance to arrive in the form of the police service.
  • If a break-in is found, the Eastern Security Engineer will contact a member of the staff.

The cost of this service is a one off payment of: £600.00 + V.A.T. per annum

This will cover all activations when the property is locked and alarmed except for user error

User error is defined as:

  • Leaving a window or door open when setting the system.
  • Not setting the system correctly or not being able to set the system correctly when leaving the site, effectively leaving the problem to be rectified by the Eastern Security Engineer.
  • Not taking care to remove the possible causes of an alarm such as setting the system with person/s still on site.
  • Not taking adequate precautions to alleviate the causes of false alarms such as mobiles / Christmas decorations.
  • Allowing untrained staff to set and unset the system, such as builders in school holidays.

If user error is the cause of this activation, our normal ‘Schedule of Rates’ will apply as Option One.

Any materials used to carry out the repairs will be charged at our normal rates

Key holder requirement

We would require two sets of keys and / or fobs to enter the building and keys to move around the building.
